This
week I have developed my initial samples further to create a final collection, I
feel asthough I have progressed a lot this week with sampling and I am much
more pleased with my work.
In this sample I used techniques ripple and mock rib in different densitys to show my linear drawings, I then manipulated this through stitch to get the effect I wanted. I think this works well as a technique but could have perhaps used different coloured yarns more similar shades for a better effect.
Here
I have sculpted my sample in the style of Noa Raviv by inlaying wire into
ripples, I am really pleased with this technique and think it really shows the
tone and style of my sketchbook well.
Here
is a more minimalised sample of wire inlayed in ripple. I think it shows nice
detail to a garment and would look nice drawing attention to one area. I think
the drop stitch shows lovely movement in the fabric so keep it more fluid than
stiffly structural.
