Samual Hall is a textile designer for knitted samples focusing on tactility and how they can be manipulated. I find his concept of contamination and how clean spaces can become disturbed by the unexpected really unique and interesting. I think this works well with him being interested in trend publications. His use with latex is innovative and has inspired me to experiment with other materials when sampling. Samual Hall has a strong use of colour, I especially like the use of neutrals and black against bold colour.

Ruby Robinson is a fashion photographer exploring a time in every females adolescence. I think this is an interesting take on feminine maturity and her photographs are very visually beautiful. Her minimalistic look relates to my work well so I found her images particularly interesting. The use of light tones and neutral colours works extremely well especially with the skin tones. This is something I have now considered for my colour pallet, to introduce skin tones or consider skin tones against my pallet when worn on the body. I am also thinking about how I would like my final collection to be photographed and I think this is an interesting take on fashion photography with props being included.

Jessica Hogan, Specialising in knitted fabrics for womenswear fashion. I admire her colour and yarn sophistication and would like this to influence my self-initiated work in my final year. Her negative space concept is an interesting perspective into shape and structure.

I think her reconstruction and distortion of basic garment shapes work very well together and is something to consider when designing garments. The simplicity works well whilst reconstruction giving it a more complex feel.
