Initial Research

I chose the Urban Influences Brief as I ended my summer work on shape of architecture and very structural, linear drawings therefor I felt already inspired by the brief. This week I have begun to collect my research through photographs mainly. I went into the city to see what I wanted to influence my work. I found myself taking more images of the structural and modern buildings. I particularly liked the aesthetics of modern, glass, office buildings with lights on inside. I liked the transparency and layered look of this.

I’ve also been researching a lot on Pinterest, looking at artists inspired by a similar topic to get me back into drawing and give me ideas of different approaches.
