Over Christmas I have been refining my brief more through
research and continuing drawing different elements of linear contouring. I have
tried different areas I like and tried different ways of drawing with no
particular colour pallet.
I am most pleased with my drawings containing lots of
graphic fluid shapes contrasting with linear elements within them.
I can think
of many ways to show this through sampling with techniques such as using a
lycra between stripes to pull in the knit to give it movement. I also like the
thought of this as it relates to the uncontrolled tone to my drawing. I think
drawing with block colour, lines, dots and lots of movements gives me a lot of
options and techniques I could play with through knit.
